It's about feeling more comfortable with yourself
When it comes to plastic surgery, the results are in the visuals. A tummy tuck, for instance, is all about improving the appearance of the abdominal area. While gathering information to make a decision about a particular procedure, surgical candidates can talk to people who have undergone the same procedure that they are considering. They can research techniques and can read up on surgery details, but there is little that beats the visual reference that comes from before-and-after photos.
I make such photos available on my website, so prospective patients can see the results of surgeries performed at my Cosmetic Surgery Institute in Toronto. Visitors to my site can see what patients looked like before and after their breast augmentation, liposuction, and tummy tuck surgery. These visitors should also understand that the photos illustrate unique cases, so the results are inherently individualized, but the images do provide a visual reference for what sort of general transformation is possible.

I show more than one perspective, including side profiles and straight-on views. Since the photos show post-surgical results, they are ideal for showcasing the placement of incisions for minimizing the appearance of scars. Viewers can note how well the lines are hidden by the underwear or bikini line.
The before-and-after tummy tuck photos also show what the surgery can do for a patient’s skin quality and the removal of stretch marks. A tummy tuck—also known as an abdominoplasty—is commonly requested by women who want to make a change to their bodies that show the after-effects of childbearing. This includes loose skin and stretch marks, as well as muscle weakness. The tummy tuck procedure can also eliminate some excess fat in the abdominal region. The overall result is a tight, snug tummy shape that is ready for the beach!
